Honey, I'm home!!!

Here's my to-do list!

- Cheesecake Factory (done!)
- FatTuesday's for their giant double Daquari's (right across from our hotel, I looked) (done, more than once)
- the Venetian hotel for photos and a gondola ride (done, no gondola)
- Treasure Island to take pirate ship photos for the boys (done)
- Mirage Hotel, pics of the rainforest and dolphins - Volcano is being fixed :( (done, didn't see dolphins)
- Bellagio - fountains and a blueberry mojito (done)
- NYNY to ride the rollercoaster (done)
- Excalibur - pics for the boys (done)
- Luxor (done, kinda, didn't go inside)
- Mandalay Bay - Shark Reef (done)
- MGM - Lion Habitat (done)
- Paris - Eiffel Tower (done, didn't go up)

So what did I do???

Sunday - Flew to Vegas, 30min delay with some weird alarm that the pilot wasn't sure what it was (we overheard on the speaker) I was ready to get off and WALK to Vegas. Flew over the Grand Canyon and was amazed - beautiful and huge. Arrived in Vegas to 27 degree weather, soooo nice. Had some drinks and did some gambling. I stayed up talking until 4am (yawn)

Monday - Breakfast, flamingo buffet for lunch (GROSS) happy hour in bar and then dress up night

Tuesday - Breakfast, group luncheon and then we walked up the strip (Flamingo, Venetian, TI, Mirage and mall) happy hour and then dinner. We went to a party in the evening and then did some gambling (I won about $250)

Wednesday - Breakfast, another group luncheon. We walked the strip for a bit and then happy hour and another dinner - we walked the strip some more

Thursday - Breakfast, Cheesecake Factory for lunch - we spent our afternoon in the pool, it was about 30 that day This was the only night after our strip walk, I passed out early.

Friday - I slept in since my roomies had left and then had a swim, I spent the rest of the day touring the south strip (Mandalay Bay, MGM, Luxor, Excalibur, NYNY) then had another swim before packing up to come home.

I cannot wait to go back next year - it's being planned for March 22nd - 27th! This time at the Hilton Las Vegas

Another Midwife Visit

I think she should just move in, she's here enough! LOL Everything is great, baby is still doing great and has dropped, I'm now measuring a week behind which means he's ready to go! Blood pressure, heart rate and urine are all perfect and I sent my GBS ( http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/1647.html ) swab off for testing. I didn't have GBS with either of the boys, but back then they didn't test for it anyways. If I test positive, just means I'll recieve antibiotics in labour, not a huge deal, but better to know ahead of time. So now we're just waiting for him to arrive - everything but MY bag is packed and ready to go! We spent the last week around here battling the sickies, and Gary's back to work tonight after being off for two weeks, which was very nice!! However he's back on his old schedule so he'll work two nights and then be off two nights, easier for him to get more rest and help out around here!! I see the Midwife again on April 8th if I m...

The Arrival Of Dylan

I'll start off by saying, I got the natural birth I had planned on all along!! I was so sure I'd go overdue and end up being induced - I guess I scared him out of me!! Towards the end, it became quite rushed ;) I'd been having regular bouts of contractions for weeks now, so Monday didn't start out any different. I began my morning with my Red Raspberry Leaf tea and then we went shopping at Walmart in the morning, getting the boys sand toys that I had been promising them for weeks and then to McD's for breakfast. We got home, had two more cups of tea and then did some cleaning. Around lunch, I realized these contractions were not only getting more regular, but were beginning to move down into my back - so I timed them and they were about 7-10 minutes apart lasting 30 seconds or so, not painful at all - very early labour.
