This was my annual "work" trip, added on a few days of pleasure pre-convention! My husband and I have been together since age 16, we've been married 10 years now and have 4 children. Aside from last years trip, we had never been on vacation alone together. This year, we were celebrating 15 years together and 10 years of marriage Of course, as like for most parents, vacation never goes off without a hitch. 4 weeks before we left our son (10) slipped on ice and sliced open his knee to which he needed 9 staples and then once they were removed he had 6 internal and 4 external stitches to keep it healing. The night before our trip, I was finally removing said stitches February 23rd - Flew out of YYZ at 8pm, flight was delayed a bit because of de-icing so we landed about 30mins late, about midnight.
