Vegas Part 4!

Excalibur! Thursday morning we checked out of the Hilton and took a taxi down to Excalibur! Again it was super busy there, so we had to check our luggage and went to have lunch. After that we checked back and our room was ready! We unloaded, freshened up and headed out to the strip!! We went down to Mandalay Bay, explored and then took the tram up to New York, New York where we stopped at Coyote Ugly for some drinks! After that we walked up the strip a bit, in and out of some stores and ended up at the M&M store for a movie and some chocolate shopping!! After a quick visit to the Coke Store we walked down to MGM and went through there stopping to get a players card and to watch the lions. We walked over to Hooters, played our free play that we got with our players cards and then went back to the room to drop our bags. We were supposed to go to Dicks Last Resort for dinner, but it was a long wait and their humour wasn't quite what we expected so we went to a food court on the st...

Happy Birthday Dylan!

My baby boy Dylan Jacob Nathan turns four today!! You can read his birth story here http://macleodzoo.blogspot.com/2005/04/arrival-of-dylan.html Dylan you're such a wonderful little boy! You're smart and funny, you love cars and trucks. You love to play in the dirt and we still call you pig pen! You are very excited to be starting kindergarden in the Fall - and while you'll miss me because "you my mom..." I know you will make friends and love being there! Happy Birthday my sweet-pea!

Vegas Part 3!

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday All 3 days kind of blended into one - we had 2 fancy awards dinners, breakfast with friends, classes with MDC members, 2 luncheons and lots of bonding time with my Passion sisters!! We won some money gambling and had some great meals! Tuesday night we took a taxi down to the strip to go for dinner! After walking around and then winning $100 on more penny slots we ended up at Grand Lux in the Venetian! Lovely dinner, super drinks and wasn't bad on price either! We walked up the strip checking out the Sirens show and then into the Wynn - lovely! Taxi back to the Hilton and then we gambled some more!! I tried not to stay up too late these evenings because 8am came early! Up next - Excalibur!

Vegas Part 2!

Saturday March 21st Woke up around 9am and headed out to check out Vegas during the day! Walked around Bally's and then up to the Bellagio, beautiful. Loved the conservatory - amazing flowers! Didn't get to see the fountains since they were being worked on so we headed over to Planet Hollywood to get our players card. We gambled some money away and then headed back to Bally's to drop off our goods. We were meeting friends for lunch @ the Cheesecake Factory in Caesars so we left with plenty of time to get there. Good thing because it took forever to get through the casino, it was SO busy! Lunch was super, my Passion girls were there along with some Passion Sistas! It was a great way to start off the week!! We had rented a car from Hertz so we had to head back to Bally's to grab it, while waiting I popped $20 into penny slots and walked away with $50!! Score! We took the car and drove over to the Hilton to see some friends. We gambled and won another $100 on slots!! After...

Vegas Part 1!

Vegas 2009 was amazing! Here's some of the highlights! We stayed at Bally's for 2 nights, then on to the Las Vegas Hilton followed by our last night at Excalibur on the strip! In hindsight, it was a lot of moving around, packing up bags and cabs but FUN! Thursday March 19th - Day before our trip, we had a huge list of last minute things to do! I had my nails done, finished packing, did groceries and then a run to shoppers drug mart for sinutab since I still had a cold. Went to bed about 1am *yawn* Are you kidding, I couldn't sleep - I was going away with my husband and we haven't been alone since Kevin was born 9 years ago! Friday March 20th - Woke up at 5am and lugged everything downstairs and into our friends van! Kyle drove fast so we were there by 6am, checking in at Pearson! Customs and security was super fast and then we headed to Tim Hortons to get our wake-up! We relaxed and waited to board - my husband was super excited (and a little nervous) because he's n...
