Another Midwife Visit

I think she should just move in, she's here enough! LOL Everything is great, baby is still doing great and has dropped, I'm now measuring a week behind which means he's ready to go! Blood pressure, heart rate and urine are all perfect and I sent my GBS ( http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/1647.html ) swab off for testing. I didn't have GBS with either of the boys, but back then they didn't test for it anyways. If I test positive, just means I'll recieve antibiotics in labour, not a huge deal, but better to know ahead of time. So now we're just waiting for him to arrive - everything but MY bag is packed and ready to go! We spent the last week around here battling the sickies, and Gary's back to work tonight after being off for two weeks, which was very nice!! However he's back on his old schedule so he'll work two nights and then be off two nights, easier for him to get more rest and help out around here!! I see the Midwife again on April 8th if I m...

35 Week Midwife Appointment

Saw my midwife today for a quick check-up. Everything looks great, baby is growing, his heartrate is perfect and everything is fine with me too, my blood pressure is still within normal range. We went over my hospital registration and wrote up a birth plan for the hospital. I washed up most of the baby's clothes and packed his diaper bag over the last week, just have to get my bag packed and wash up a load of blankets and the carseat cover. Gary started his 2 week vacation today - I'm guaranteed some rest and getting everything else ready to go. Dylan's been very active, lots of stretching and moving - I'm sure he's not happy about the lack of space in there either! The boys are eager for him to come... at least daily one of them asks when he's going to be here, lol - I told them in two weeks was soon enough for me!!!

I'm registered at the hospital and belly pics!

I finally had my pre-registration appointment at the hospital. Got all my paperwork done and filled out - now all we need is the baby!! The nurse explained that if I come in labor, and my midwife hasn't arrived yet - they'll start an IV as it's "procedure" I'll definately be getting the Midwife to come here and transport with me regardless now. We also filled out a birth plan, which I've already done, but played along and did theirs - she was a little surprised that I wouldn't use stirrups, as most women find them super helpful while pushing, and then the nurse and support person can do more than hold a leg - I explained that I'd probably be upright or on my knees - she didn't say much after that, lol. Here's some of my belly pics taken, I'll try and update them every 2-3 weeks until he's here and then one of me in labor, and tons after he's born ;) http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=6589765&uid=2559341

33 Week Midwife Appointment

Saw Carolynn today for my appointment and all went well :) Baby is measuring right on for size, his heartrate is perfect and my blood pressure is on the low side for a change!! She estimates he'll be a good 7.5lbs when he's born. The results from my Glucose test came back and everything is fine, except my Iron is low, so I'm to start on some supplements for that. In addition to the calcium ones I'm already taking. I got my forms for my pre-registration appointment at the hospital next Thursday and discussed early labor and again the importance of paging them the second I think labor may be beginning, lol. I think they are worried they won't make it in time. Now watch me have a 3 day long labor, eek!!! I see Allisoun in two weeks and then begin weekly appointments. Won't be much longer now, I guess I can start washing up his baby clothes and packing up the bags :)
