Day 3 Update

Thanks to everyone for their emails, calls and visits. Lauren has been so spoiled by those who love her already!

I'm feeling pretty good, she's a wonderful baby. My milk came in last night, so her feedings have been faster and easier. She's got a great latch and I enjoy breastfeeding her - gives us some quiet one on one time.

Ryan has a cold :( So he's been home from school yesterday and today. Gary's been home with me since Sunday but returns to work tonight and tomorrow night and so Nana is coming up this afternoon until Saturday. My Mom & Poppa have been around too, so we've had lots of help with the boys. I'm working on her birth story - give me a couple days! Midwives were in yesterday to check us over and everything is perfect!

We had our first bath last night, with Mommy in the big tub and she LOVED every second of it - except when it was time to come out eek She was so alert and quiet, I had her right up to her chin in water and she thought it was great.

I haven't taken new photos, but promise to at some point today - she looks SO much like her brother Kevin! Check out the link to her photos at the right :)

Another Midwife Visit

I think she should just move in, she's here enough! LOL Everything is great, baby is still doing great and has dropped, I'm now measuring a week behind which means he's ready to go! Blood pressure, heart rate and urine are all perfect and I sent my GBS ( http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/1647.html ) swab off for testing. I didn't have GBS with either of the boys, but back then they didn't test for it anyways. If I test positive, just means I'll recieve antibiotics in labour, not a huge deal, but better to know ahead of time. So now we're just waiting for him to arrive - everything but MY bag is packed and ready to go! We spent the last week around here battling the sickies, and Gary's back to work tonight after being off for two weeks, which was very nice!! However he's back on his old schedule so he'll work two nights and then be off two nights, easier for him to get more rest and help out around here!! I see the Midwife again on April 8th if I m...

The Arrival Of Dylan

I'll start off by saying, I got the natural birth I had planned on all along!! I was so sure I'd go overdue and end up being induced - I guess I scared him out of me!! Towards the end, it became quite rushed ;) I'd been having regular bouts of contractions for weeks now, so Monday didn't start out any different. I began my morning with my Red Raspberry Leaf tea and then we went shopping at Walmart in the morning, getting the boys sand toys that I had been promising them for weeks and then to McD's for breakfast. We got home, had two more cups of tea and then did some cleaning. Around lunch, I realized these contractions were not only getting more regular, but were beginning to move down into my back - so I timed them and they were about 7-10 minutes apart lasting 30 seconds or so, not painful at all - very early labour.
