17 Day Midwife Checkup

Dylan and I had a visit with Carolynn today at the clinic. They finally have it up and running, and it looks amazing inside - the boys LOVED playing with all the cool toys and Mommy loved looking at all the neat Ikea furniture they have furnished the clinic with :)

Dylan is doing great! He wasn't impressed with being undressed for his checkup, but then again he doesn't like being nekkid much! He now weighs 6 pounds, 15 ounces Carolynn assures me that's a GREAT gain and he's thriving :)
We go back in two weeks, when he'll be a whole month old - how time flies huh??

He's been an absolute angel the last few days, loves his swing a lot more than he did last week, and I've caught him craning his neck to try and watch TV when music videos are on. As long as we keep the Teletubbies away I think were okay *grin* He loves going for drives in the car, again probably the music and vibration he gets from the bumps - but it's nice not to have a screaming baby like Ryan, he hated the car for the first few months. I'm still waiting for it to warm up so we can have the Welcome Dylan BBQ - looks like we'll be moving it into June based on Gary's weekend work schedule this month :(

I got some cute pics of him over the last couple of days but then the camera batteries DIED, so I'll upload them once they re-charge.

We also went to Dr.Newman's breastfeeding clinic yesterday where the re-assured me he's doing FINE and I'm doing everything right, it'll just take him a while to learn to latch on right, but that I have the technique right, it just takes him some time to get it right. I'm starting on a milk booster, Domperidone - which should help me have a faster flow so he'll be more eager to drink, and it'll be easier for me to pump off the left side too!
