Back on the wagon - it's NaBloPoMo!

It's National Blog Posting Month at http://www.nablopomo.com - 30 posts in 30 days - can I do it?? Of course I can - I have 3 months worth of updates to do!

If you've just found me on the NaBloPoMo website - let me tell you a little bit about myself!! I'm a WAHM who has 4 children! You'll learn all about them - really soon! I've been with my husband for 14 years now and married for 9 of them! We survived the 7 year itch - will be interesting to see what this 14th year brings us. I'm a Mom who does it all - my kiddos are active in sports and school activities, I sit on the PTA - I also cook, clean and run a house of 6!

If that isn't enough - like I said above I work from home! I used to run a full time home daycare with many children when my boys were younger - now it's down to a couple of part timers who are the same age as Lauren, I love having little people around, keeps me active and busy! In 2006 I started to do Passion Parties basically as a way to make some extra cash and get a super discount on my personal stash *wink* What I didn't realize is how lucrative it was - I quickly built a team and went straight to the top 3% of the company in SEVEN months!!! I'm now an Executive Director with Passion Parties and lead a team of 50 wonderful, inspiring and hardworking women! If that isn't enough - I also am a Sales Director for Durham's largest online Parents and Kids Guide and make sure their Mommy community with over 600 members runs smoothly!

So that's me! When I get spare time I love to watch reality TV, scrapbook, read and occasionally sleep :)

Another Midwife Visit

I think she should just move in, she's here enough! LOL Everything is great, baby is still doing great and has dropped, I'm now measuring a week behind which means he's ready to go! Blood pressure, heart rate and urine are all perfect and I sent my GBS ( http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/1647.html ) swab off for testing. I didn't have GBS with either of the boys, but back then they didn't test for it anyways. If I test positive, just means I'll recieve antibiotics in labour, not a huge deal, but better to know ahead of time. So now we're just waiting for him to arrive - everything but MY bag is packed and ready to go! We spent the last week around here battling the sickies, and Gary's back to work tonight after being off for two weeks, which was very nice!! However he's back on his old schedule so he'll work two nights and then be off two nights, easier for him to get more rest and help out around here!! I see the Midwife again on April 8th if I m...

The Arrival Of Dylan

I'll start off by saying, I got the natural birth I had planned on all along!! I was so sure I'd go overdue and end up being induced - I guess I scared him out of me!! Towards the end, it became quite rushed ;) I'd been having regular bouts of contractions for weeks now, so Monday didn't start out any different. I began my morning with my Red Raspberry Leaf tea and then we went shopping at Walmart in the morning, getting the boys sand toys that I had been promising them for weeks and then to McD's for breakfast. We got home, had two more cups of tea and then did some cleaning. Around lunch, I realized these contractions were not only getting more regular, but were beginning to move down into my back - so I timed them and they were about 7-10 minutes apart lasting 30 seconds or so, not painful at all - very early labour.
