Happy New Year!!

I thought this would be a good time to reflect on the GOOD that happened in 2006.

We rang in 2006 with most of our closest friends
I found out I was pregnant with Lauren (after being convinced I'd *know* I was pregnant, lol)
We attended two weddings
Dylan turned 1
Gary turned 28
We started house hunting and after two offers on other homes not being accepted
WE BOUGHT OUR FIRST HOME (third time is a charm!)
Both boys advanced to the next grade in school
We moved out of Scarborough into our own home in Whitby, ON
The boys started at a new (and much better!) school
Our daughter Lauren was born
We hosted Thanksgiving in our new home
I turned 28
Ryan turned 5 and we decorated our house up for halloween
We hosted Christmas at home
Kevin turned 7

All in all, it was a great year! I'm looking forward to seeing what 2007 has in store for us - seeing my babies turn a year older, going to some weddings - maybe even sticking to my resolutions, lol.

Another Midwife Visit

I think she should just move in, she's here enough! LOL Everything is great, baby is still doing great and has dropped, I'm now measuring a week behind which means he's ready to go! Blood pressure, heart rate and urine are all perfect and I sent my GBS ( http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/1647.html ) swab off for testing. I didn't have GBS with either of the boys, but back then they didn't test for it anyways. If I test positive, just means I'll recieve antibiotics in labour, not a huge deal, but better to know ahead of time. So now we're just waiting for him to arrive - everything but MY bag is packed and ready to go! We spent the last week around here battling the sickies, and Gary's back to work tonight after being off for two weeks, which was very nice!! However he's back on his old schedule so he'll work two nights and then be off two nights, easier for him to get more rest and help out around here!! I see the Midwife again on April 8th if I m...

The Arrival Of Dylan

I'll start off by saying, I got the natural birth I had planned on all along!! I was so sure I'd go overdue and end up being induced - I guess I scared him out of me!! Towards the end, it became quite rushed ;) I'd been having regular bouts of contractions for weeks now, so Monday didn't start out any different. I began my morning with my Red Raspberry Leaf tea and then we went shopping at Walmart in the morning, getting the boys sand toys that I had been promising them for weeks and then to McD's for breakfast. We got home, had two more cups of tea and then did some cleaning. Around lunch, I realized these contractions were not only getting more regular, but were beginning to move down into my back - so I timed them and they were about 7-10 minutes apart lasting 30 seconds or so, not painful at all - very early labour.
